WASHINGTON - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called on United States President Donald J. Trump at the White House. An official statement issued by Prime Minister Office on Friday said the prime minister was along with Field Gather together Syed Asim Munir NI (M), HJ, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS).
During their warm and friendly meeting, the prime minister expressed his deep strong feeling of pleasure and wonder for President Trump, describing him as a "man of peace" who was started/working at honest efforts to end conflicts around the globe.
He appreciated President Trump's bold, brave and clear leadership that had helped the stop to fighting between Pakistan and India by that/in that way helping to turn away/avoid a major terrible event in South Asia. While discussing the situation in the Middle East, the prime minister praised President Trump's efforts to bring about an immediate end to the war in Gaza, especially his effort to begin (doing something) to invite key leaders of the Muslim world in New York, earlier this week, for a complete and thorough exchange of views for (rebuilding/renewal) of peace in the Middle East, in particular Gaza and the West Bank.
The prime minister also thanked President Trump for the tax/import tax arrangement that was ended/decided between Pakistan and the United States earlier this year.
While nicely/with good feelings recalling the (existing for a long time) partnership between the two countries, the prime minister expressed the confidence that under President Trump's leadership, the Pakistan-US partnership would be further strengthened to the back and forth/equal between people benefit of both countries.
Related to this, the prime minister invited the US Companies to invest in Pakistan's farming, I.T., mines and minerals and energy parts/areas. The two leaders also discussed (related to a large area) security including (related to fighting terrorism) cooperation.
The prime minister thanked President Trump for his public support of Pakistan's role in (fighting terrorism) and stressed the need to further improve cooperation in security and intelligence. The prime minister also extended a warm and friendly invitation to President Trump to begin/try an official visit to Pakistan, at his convenience.
