Security forces on Saturday killed 17 fighters duringan intelligence based operation in the Darsha Khail area of Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to (people in charge of something), (more than two, but not a lot of) hurt fighters managed to escape and hide in nearby villages. A large storage (of secret things or computer data) of weapons was grabbed and taken control of during the search operation, while people in charge forced on people a (law that limits when people can be out on the street) in Darsha Khail and (next to) areas. Residents were strongly encouraged not to shelter people (who are running from the law) and to report any information about hurt fighters immediately.
Sources said the operation targeted the (related to a person who feels very strongly about something) group Fitna al-Khawarij. Based on intelligence, security forces had encircled a 22-member aggressive and strict group before starting/working at the meeting.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the appropriately-timed and professional action of the security forces, praying for the recovery of hurt personnel. He repeated the government's loyalty to/promise to completely uprooting terrorism from the country.
